EDUCATION TOWARDS CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

A country in which citizens and governments work together to build a more inclusive and equitable society.

Education for the citizen involvement

A country in wich citizens and governments
WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD A MORE INCLUSIVE AND EQUITABLE SOCIETY.

We rely on the premise that in a democratic society  governments must have tools that allow them to respond assertively to their citizens' needs. In turn, citizens will, effectively and coresponsibly, get involved in public affairs.

Model of Citizen Involvement Participa+

Thanks to the citizen participation action line, we developped the Model of Citizen Involvement Participa+, a strategic framework that shows a new way of addressing citizen participation in Colombia. This model seeks to break down the barriers that discourage and limit forms of effective citizen involvement, and also those that take legitimacy from democracy.

The model strengthens
three types of interaction:

Citizens

Citizens

Government

Citizens

We learn and implement good practices in the fields of civic and public innovation to create methodologies and tools that facilitate the interaction and co-construction between citizens and public actors. These take into account four pillars:

Transparency

Participation

Innovation

Technology

ELEMENTS

Participa+ proposes to build a shared vision on the opportunities and problems of citizen involvement in local environments.
