On December 4, the launch of the 2025 Citizen Perception Survey (EPC) by Bogotá Cómo Vamos took place at the Alfonso Quintana S.J. Auditorium of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. The initiative is led by Fundación Corona, El Tiempo, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, and the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
The event was more than a presentation of survey results; it became a space for dialogue among academy, public sector, young people, and citizens about how Bogotá is experienced and perceived today.
A Shared Reading of the City
During the event, the survey’s key findings were presented, revealing a city of contrasts: greater optimism and satisfaction alongside growing concerns about security, mobility, and trust in institutions.
One of the central messages highlighted the coexistence of these tensions:
“We are seeing a city that is moving forward. Infrastructure is progressing, transformations are becoming visible, and this is driving a shift in public perception.” Daniel Uribe, Executive Director, Fundación Corona.

Youth Voices and Leadership at the Center of the Conversation
One of the most significant moments of the launch was the panel discussion, “The Power of What We Feel: Young People in Conversation with the Bogota’s Mayor Galán,” which placed youth voices at the center of the dialogue.
During the discussion, young leaders shared their perceptions of the city: a Bogotá that offers opportunities while also presenting significant challenges related to security, mobility, and trust. Even so, they emphasized their willingness to participate, influence decision-making, and contribute to the development of public life.
Mayor Galán highlighted the value of the survey as a tool for understanding these perceptions and informing decision-making, while acknowledging both the city’s progress and the challenges it continues to face.

A Tool for Understanding and Action
The launch reinforced a clear message: the Citizen Perception Survey is more than a collection of data; it is a tool for fostering dialogue, encouraging participation, and supporting informed decision-making.
In a context marked by transformation and ongoing challenges, listening to how people experience and feel about their city is essential for developing more relevant and sustainable responses.
