Transformative Philanthropy, founded in 2010, is a community of strategic philanthropists seeking to increase the impact of their social and environmental investments. Transformative Philanthropy's overarching goal is for every family in Colombia to have a structured and rigorously implemented social investment strategy, to connect with one another, and to share their achievements and lessons learned. Only in this way will we achieve tangible changes in our society.

Colombia is a country largely comprised of family businesses that contribute to the socioeconomic development of our society in many ways, particularly through philanthropy. Despite this—and for many reasons—family philanthropy is a topic rarely discussed in our country. However, we have much to share and learn, which is why we created this magazine, Transforming Philanthropy. We hope it will be interesting, useful, and inspiring.
