Publication – Inequality in Ten Latin American Cities (2012)

Inequality has become a universal concern. Latin America, the most unequal region on the planet, has seen unequal access to opportunities, income/consumption, space, resources, and technology within cities become the norm, not the exception. Inequality has been a topic of public debate in the region from many different perspectives (media, social, political, and institutional). For many years, Latin Americans have lived with a sense of distrust and insecurity in several of their cities. The Perception Survey: Inequality in Ten Latin American Cities corroborates this feeling, which is a mixture of frustration and social injustice.
