Las Voces

The collaborative work of foundations, NGOs, and international agencies with community organizations to address poverty, exclusion, and poor living conditions in Latin America has been developing for several decades. It has been a long process of trial and error, successes, and learning, involving experts, officials, activists, managers, and leaders of diverse backgrounds and abilities. In this process, the voices of community leaders have rarely been heard directly and without intermediaries. These voices carry the authority of experience, knowledge of the true results of efforts to accompany and support communities, and a perception of a reality that executives and managers of external agencies have only encountered as counterparts.
