Justicia Cómo Vamos: Perception and Supply of the Justice System in Colombia

The How Are We Doing Cities Network presents the How Are We Doing Justice 2022 report

Justicia Cómo Vamos is an initiative of the Bolívar Davivienda Foundation, Corona Foundation, Red de Ciudades Cómo Vamos and the Corporación Excelencia en la Justicia (CEJ), which aims to monitor and track the knowledge, access and quality of justice in Colombian cities, evaluating the current state of the justice system at different levels of conflict (between citizens or with the State) and seeking to contribute to decision-making with a territorial focus.

The state of the justice system is one of the main concerns in the country, given its importance for the sustainable development of society, for the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and for the enjoyment and comprehensive protection of rights.

Within the framework of the Justice How Are We Doing project, two reports were produced with a diagnosis of citizens' knowledge, access, quality, and general perception of the justice system in Colombia, both at the national and local levels. These reports provide input for understanding critical aspects of bringing justice closer to citizens within the framework of the rule of law, and contribute to strengthening the planning, management, and financing of the justice system in the country.
